Living / Dining

A two seater sofa to snuggle up on, TV with free view, and free wifi for your stay.  There is also a breakfast bar so you can  sit and enjoy the views when you are eating.  For those of you who have to work, we have fibre broadband and the breakfast bar can double up as your work space with charging plugs to keep you going, (although you may have to shut those curtains or you could find yourself drifting off with those beautiful views!) For the business trip you'll find an iron and ironing board to spruce up your shirt.

Outside

At Ty Cosy you have your own garden space which is accessed by a gate and is fenced off.  This area is quiet and has shrubs around it to give you some privacy.  It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs where you can enjoy your breakfast or just relax in the sun, and take in the views listening to the trickle of the pond, tweeting of the birds and occasional sheep noise (well come on that's what we are known for!)

Explore the area:

Holywell is a small market town with everything you need.
Now we are sure you don't want to come to North Wales to go shopping, but for your essentials there are two supermarkets (Lidl and Tesco) in the town, butchers, bakers but no candle stick makers, although there is a gift shop selling candles in the Well!   There are cafe's, restaurants, pubs and takeaways, and Maggie's chip shop has got to be the best we've ever tasted!
Places of Interest -

St Winefred's Well,l  known as "The Lourdes Of Wales": Take a walk around the well and observe the discarded crutches from people who claim to have been cured by the Holy water.  Learn about how the well became famous by the scorned Prince who cut of the head of Winefred!

Greenfield Valley and ruins:  Walk or park in one of the three car parks nearby to explore the Mill ruins, the lakes, the woods and the ancient Abbey ruins.

The Pen-Y-Ball monument: this hill is not for the faint hearted, however for those of you brave enough you will not be disappointed by the stunning views at the top by the monument.  (you can cheat and drive up!)

Walking : fabulous walks right on the doorstep. Go up the Hill to the Pen Y Ball, down the hill to the Well and Greenfield Valley. The Watts Dyke path is located near the Abbey Ruins in Greenfield.
The Coastal pathway, lovely flat walk and lots to see on the way.
Brynford and Halkyn Mountain (sites of special scientific interest) or why not go on an organised walk from the Blue Bell Inn- checkout their website for details.

Then there is Horse Riding, Golf, Surfing, Sailing, Ice skating,  swimming,  trampolining on an extreme scale, and so much more!

Holywell has a small bus station with bus routes to all the other major towns across North Wales and over the border into Cheshire.  Look out for daily and weekly traveller deals so you can explore lots of different towns for not a lot of money.

Railway - Flint is the nearest train station which links to Chester in around 15 mins, Liverpool and Manchester are around an hour.  (it is cheaper to go by train to Liverpool than to drive and no parking!)  Parking in Flint is free.  You can also get all over the coastal areas of North Wales in a relatively short space of time too.
